LAS ENFERMEDADES CARDIOVASCULARES Y EL COVID-19: UNA RELACIÓN DE MUERTE

Resumen
De acuerdo con la Organización Mundial de la Salud, el COVID-19 ha generado un gran número de muertes y complicaciones en un corto período de tiempo, esto ha obligado a las instituciones de salud a lo largo del mundo a generar estrategias que garanticen la atención a la población más susceptible, ya que se ha reportado que la infección por COVID-19 afecta en mayor proporción a los pacientes con enfermedades cardiovasculares y puede condicionar complicaciones cardíacas en las últimas etapas de la infección, esto aún en personas que no tienen antecedentes cardiovasculares.
